We collect information you provide directly:

• Account information (name, email address)
• Billing information (processed by Stripe; we do not store card details)
• Simulation data, geometries, and job parameters you upload or create

We automatically collect:

• Usage data (job counts, compute time, feature usage)
• Technical data (IP address, browser type, device information)

2. How We Use Your Information

• To provide and maintain the Service
• To process billing and payments
• To send transactional emails (verification, password reset, invitations)
• To monitor and improve the Service
• To comply with legal obligations

3. Data Storage and Security

Simulation data (geometries, job inputs, and results) is stored in Amazon S3 in the EU (eu-north-1) with server-side encryption. Account and application data (including your name and email address) is stored in a PostgreSQL database hosted by Neon. We encrypt data in transit (TLS) and at rest (AES-256).

Some of the service providers listed below may store or process data outside the European Economic Area. Where they do, transfers are made under recognised safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses or an adequacy decision (including the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework).

4. Third-Party Services

We use the following service providers, which may process your personal data on our behalf:

• Neon - managed PostgreSQL database hosting (account and application data)
• AWS - cloud infrastructure, compute, and file storage
• Stripe - payment processing
• Resend - transactional email delivery
• Cloudflare - DNS and CDN
• Sentry - error monitoring (error reports may include technical data such as IP address and browser type)
• OpenObserve - application telemetry and log collection

5. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. To request deletion of your account and personal data, contact us at privacy@ionforge.io; we will action deletion requests within the period required by applicable law. Anonymised usage statistics may be retained indefinitely.

6. Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete the personal data we hold about you, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at privacy@ionforge.io. You can download simulation data you have created directly from the dashboard.

7. Cookies

We use essential cookies for authentication and session management. We do not use third-party tracking cookies or analytics cookies.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via email or an in-app notice.
